Jiwandeep Kohli of San Diego, California, has gone viral after posting a tweet of himself in a rainbow turban on June 1.

Kohli who is a bisexual Sikh man, a baker and a brain scientist, made the rainbow turban himself. He did this by using his usual turban material (which is 19-feet-long in length), colorful fabric and safety pins to hold it all together.

The turban is actually from San Diego’s 2018 pride; however, Kohli decided to reshare the photo to twitter to kick off the beginning of Pride Month.

He no idea his tweet would go viral. As of June 4, Kohli’s smile and self-made rainbow turban have reached 12,141 retweets and 88,646 likes, with people applauding him and his fashion choices. Kohli tweeted, “This received a lot more attention than I imagined it would! It also makes me feel so much #pride and joy to be a part of such supportive and welcoming communities.”
